Welcome to the July 14th Firefly Farmanac Issue of our weekly newsletter!

In the June 30th Farmanac Issue, we announced our very first events at Fox Forest Retreat Center.  Thank you for all of the excitement that you have been sharing with us!

We have a few important reminders about registration:

• Registration for the Fox Forest all-inclusive events (Fall Frolic and Lawn Fawn Soiree) is open but almost sold out. You can register online at our website www.visitfireflyfarm.com on the class/event tab OR by calling Firefly Farm during business hours. (Registration for the Firefly Farm classes will open at 8:00 AM on August 1st and 8:00 AM on July 31st for Farm Girls.)
• When registering for the Fox Forest all-inclusive events, you will pay for 50% of your total.  All registered guests will receive an emailed invoice with a payment link for the other 50%.  You will have 60 days to pay this invoice.

Firefly Farm opened in June 2017. We have a 12-acre property that includes a house and two sheds. The house (our retail location) is filled with hundreds of brand-new scrapbooking and card-making products, fun DIY projects, oodles of unique gifts, and so much more! There's something for everyone at Firefly Farm! You can find our classroom in the lower walk-out level of the store.

Fox Forest is a neighboring property that consists of a 6,400-square-foot home. We purchased this property in the spring of 2021 and have been busy renovating the space (about half of it was unfinished) for a retreat center. Phase 1 will open this fall and consists of a private rental above the 6-car garage. This space has a private stairway and a lift that leads to a newly renovated space - complete with 5 beds, a bathroom, extra vanity, a small kitchen, large bright windows, and most importantly a crafting space complete with oodles of tables and counter space, ample outlets and lights. The main level will also be opening this fall and is complete with 4 bedrooms (16 beds), 4.5 bathrooms, ample crafting space, a private kitchen, patio, relaxation room, and more. Both Firefly Farm and Fox Forest are situated in quiet wooded areas, but easily accessible from Hwy 52, the main road between Minneapolis/St.Paul and Rochester, Minnesota.  We are an hour's drive from the MSP airport.

So much is happening this fall and we hope you are able to join us for an experience (or two!).

Find out why fun designer albums and flip books are super popular!  We have 2 great classes coming up at the end of August and we are sharing a sneak peek of each here.  Next week we will announce all of the details, but for now we can tell you that:

• Patti will be teaching a Sunflower Market designer book featuring a Graphic 45 Waterfall Folio Album and Carta Bella's Sunflower Market collection- the perfect combo for this beautiful keepsake.
  
• Anne will show you how to create this Carta Bella flip album from scratch- once you learn how to put this together you can use your new skills to make more albums- perfect for gift giving!
• Both classes will be offered on Sunday, August 28th with a 30 minute break in between them- making it easy for guests to take both classes if they want.
• Farm Girls that are attending the Tote and Toasts Event on August 28th can easily make a day of it (class plus totes equals happy crafter!)

Lodging will be assigned in one of the following arrangements:

• Main Level Bedroom - sleeps 7 and has 2 ensuite bathrooms
• First Floor Bedroom - sleeps 3 and shares the hallway bathroom
• First Floor Bedroom - sleeps 2 and shares the hallway bathroom
• First Floor Bedroom - sleeps 4 and has an ensuite bathroom
• Bonus Room above the garage that sleeps 5 and has a private bathroom with a second vanity outside of the bathroom

Registered guests can request room assignments, and we will do our best to accommodate all.

Joey Otlo designed an adorable layout featuring a Photoplay Paper waterfall for our last Creative Crate and it was amazing! If you are a scrapbooker, this is a class you do not want to miss. Not to mention the Thankful collection from Photoplay Paper has so many reasons to be thankful.

5:00-7:00 PM | Family Mini-Album Brag Book featuring Photoplay Paper Thankful | $45

If you want to see how Photoplay Paper Maker Series items can make crafting easy, then this is the class for you. Join Joey as she shows you how to create a mini-album that would be perfect for gift giving. You will be bragging to all of your friends about the album you created!

Tentative 2022 Tour Itinerary -Trisha just got back from hosting her 5th Magnolia Market trip and is tweaking the itinerary to allow more time in Waco (Magnolia Market has doubled since her 4th trip).  She hasn't changed what the trip includes, just some of the departure times.

Wednesday 9/14 | 7:30 to 8:00 AM Board Chartered Bus @ Firefly Farm (optional pick-up in Albert Lea).

Thursday 9/15 | Early departure for Waco, Texas and Magnolia Market - arrive early afternoon to spend time at Magnolia Market, enjoying Food Trucks at the Silos for dinner. Market closes at 6PM. 

Friday 9/16 | Waco, TX - Silos Baking Co., & Magnolia Table in the morning. We'll enjoy a guided bus tour of Waco, including a stop at Harp Studios and driving by a few homes featured on "Fixer Upper" and we'll visit the Dr. Pepper Museum, Spice Village, and JDH Iron Designs. Jimmy Don makes many appearances on "Fixer Upper" and we're excited to check out his store on our way to Oklahoma City, where we'll spend Friday night. 

Saturday 9/17 | Oklahoma City, OK - National Memorial Museum (trust us, you'll want to let this one be a suprise!) in the morning, a beautiful lunch outdoors at Myriad Botanical Gardens, and then a vist to historic Guthrie, OK where we can explore the antique shops and quaint town while stretching our legs a bit. We'll then head to head to Pawhuska, OK where we'll spend Saturday night, visiting The Pioneer Woman Mercantile with ample time to shop and dine.  

Sunday 9/18 | Travel back to Pine Island.

Here at Firefly Farm, we made a very intentional decision to charge actual or reduced shipping charges on all shipments. We realize many of our competitors may offer free shipping, but in turn raise prices on merchandise. Because an increase in our pricing would impact all customers whether shopping in store or online, we have chosen not to raise our prices to account for the packing and shipping supplies incurred, and just add a reasonable charge to shipped orders. 51525 210th Avenue | Pine Island, Minnesota

Firefly Farm is conveniently located off of (and visible from) Highway 52, approximately 10 minutes north of Rochester and 60 minutes south of the Twin Cities. It is easily accessed from White Pines Road - the frontage road visible from Highway 52, as you get close to Pine Island.

Coming from the south on Hwy 52: Take the first Pine Island exit (Cty 11) at mile marker 71. At the top of the exit make a sharp right onto White Pines Rd SE (sharp right is before you get to the round-about). Follow this frontage road for 1 mile and take a left on 210th Avenue. Firefly Farm will be the red house on your left (first driveway).

Coming from the north on Hwy 52: Take the second Pine Island exit and at the top of the exit turn left (you will cross over Hwy 52). At the round-about take your first right to enter White Pines Rd SE (you will be on the round-about for a very short time). Follow this frontage road for 1 mile and take a left on 210th Avenue. Firefly Farm will be the red house on your left (first driveway).
